Meet the HARVEYS, husband and wife Dana and Melanie Harvey. In March 1997, while installing seatbelts into their 1950 Buick, they had the idea of making Melanie a matching handbag. Everyone loved hers so much that they decided to make more. They started making them in their one car garage in California but quickly outgrew it. They've since expanded to a 12,000 ft2 design studio in Santa Ana, California where every SEATBELTBAG is lovingly built to exact specifications. The Harveys are committed to producing a bag of superior quality using the finest and most durable materials available. I thougt this bag was bigger than it actually was after reading another review. And when I got it I was a little disappointed. BUT, after using it for a week it's The Perfect Handbag! Everything I need fit in and it's handy to carry. Sturdy, safe and heavy! I'm going to buy more of them in different colors!!! Definately worth waiting for!

I own 6 of these bags. I love love love them. I need to say that if you choose one with the printed seatbelts (disney, dots, floral etc) that these bags are much stiffer than the plain solid color ones. I think that this is because the patterns are sprayed on not dyed in the seatbelts that this makes them stiffer. The medium tote is the same size as the baguette but one row of seatbelts taller. It is very easy to figure how big these bags are. Count how many seatbelts run up and down (the medium is 5) now go out to your car and look at your seatbelts, it is very easy to visualize how big they are. When counting only count one side not the ends. The ends and the bottom give you your depth. Most are 2 or 3 belts wide. You can just pull your seatbelt out enough to lay it side by side to see how big it is. Hope this helps. PS the smaller bags hold there shape better when sitting than the big ones do.

This has become my favorite seatbelt bag (I own five). This medium tote is the best size for everday use, and the cellphone pocket is the best! The material is super durable and easy to clean (soap and water spot cleaning). Also, the details are great, such as the star zipper-pull and brass hardware. It is a great conversation piece and an all-around fun bag to own.
