As a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, the creative genius behind Melie Bianco spent many days pulling together affordable looks on a very small budget. One thing learned during the experience was that a great accessory could carry nearly any outfit. While this was challenging at the time, it was ultimately what inspired Melie Bianco. A group of women that longed for a high-end handbag, but just couldn't put it in their budget, was the Melie Bianco focus. I bought this bag in charcoal (more of a dark taupe than charcoal, in my opinion), and it has quickly become my favorite bag. First of all, it's beautiful. It looks like top quality, pebble grained leather, but it's vegan and cruelty-free! The styling is really nice and it's very well-made, and the inside is roomy and easy to organize with several pockets (also two pockets on the outside). I'm seriously considering buying this bag in another color so I can switch back and forth.

I adore this (black) bag. It's the perfect size and shape, is well designed, and looks gorgeous. If it were leather, it would be my forever and always bag. I say that, because after carrying it for only a month now, I'm noticing that the outside edges are shredding and flaking. Very unusual for a Melie Bianco, as I own over a dozen of her bags and have never had that problem. It's very disappointing, because this is otherwise an absolute gem of a bag.

I saw this brand of handbags in a fashion magazine and decided to see what other styles were available. This was the style I liked the most on Amazon and I chose the brighter color rather than basic black. It is the perfect size. The straps are long enough to carry the purse over the shoulder, but short enough to wear hanging from your angled arm. The inside lining is pink with dark polka dots and there are two inside pockets. It's large enough to fit files, magazines, books, even a tablet, but sleek enough to not look bulky with all these items. Very satisfied with this purchase!
